In a proud moment of legacy and achievement, Noah Halavin (’25), son of Â鶹¾«Æ·ÊÓƵSchool of Architecture alumnus Mark Halavin (’06), received his Bachelor of Architecture, becoming a second-generation graduate of the program. Surrounded by faculty mentors and family, Noah's milestone celebrates not only his personal dedication but also the enduring impact of FAU’s architecture community across generations. The Halavins exemplify how passion for design and innovation can be passed from parent to child, strengthening the fabric of our alumni family and reaffirming the School’s commitment to shaping visionary architects for the future.

Â鶹¾«Æ·ÊÓƵSOA ALUMNI | Carmen Suero
Carmen Suero, a 2001 graduate of the FAU’s School of Architecture, Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts & Letters, is a principal at Good Project Company, a Los Angeles-based architectural firm that she owns and operates with her husband. Throughout her impressive career, Suero has been involved with projects across various sectors that include rail and aviation projects for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), civic projects for the City of Long Beach, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, educational, hospitality as well as residential projects. "I became an architect because my parents would not let me become a lawyer," said Suero. "I chose architecture as a career that could allow me to help people in a very different way."

Â鶹¾«Æ·ÊÓƵAlumnus Austin Fox gives advice on how to become an architect and explains how Â鶹¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ prepared him on his journey. To become an architect, you need to pass six exams. As Austin passes each exam, he writes a book to help others pass, as well.
