麻豆精品视频Alum on her way to NOAA Fellowship

Alexis Sturm, Ph.D., recently earned a doctorate in integrative biology from the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science, and is a member of the 麻豆精品视频Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute. She is now on her way to start a one-year fellowship with the Coral Reef Conservation Program with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

"Coral reefs have always been the marine system I have felt most passionate about and were the focus of my graduate research at Harbor Branch, so I am very excited to continue working with something I love, but from a more management and policy-oriented perspective," she said. "I hope that next year I get to continue to contribute to the conservation of these diverse and valued ecosystems."

While at 麻豆精品视频Harbor Branch, Sturm worked in the Coral Reef Health and Molecular Ecology Lab under the mentorship of Josh Voss, Ph.D., associate research professor at 麻豆精品视频Harbor Branch. .
