The conference, 鈥淔ed Policy Under Pressure,鈥 was held in partnership with the American Institute for Economic Research (AIER) and members of the Shadow Open Market Committee.

The day-long conference featured opening remarks from Tyler Goodspeed, Ph.D., chief economist at ExxonMobil and past chair of the U.S. Council of Economic Advisors, and a keynote address from Philip Jefferson, vice chair of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, who discussed 鈥渃autious optimism鈥 for the economy and monetary policy implementation.

The conference drew attendees from universities across the nation, including the University of Miami, Rutgers University, and the University of Mississippi. It also featured engaging audience discussions on various economic topics including Federal Reserve independence and sound monetary policy with prominent figures such as Michael Faulkender, former deputy U.S. Treasury secretary; David Tuthill, head of Florida for Point72; Fabiola Brumley, president of Bank of America Palm Beach County; and Leon Cooperman, chairman and CEO of Omega Advisors.
