October 5, 2018 - The university’s top research leaders, faculty and staff came together recently for the inaugural Research Showcase to celebrate innovation, acknowledge achievements and highlight future directions. More than 200 attended an evening reception and day-long symposium. More than 50 presented posters during the day-and-a-half event hosted by the Division of Research. Wilkes Honors College Student Paulina Oporto Cespedes (pictured) was one of three poster presentation winners at the showcase for “Representation of Dominican Identity in Julia Alvarez’s Historical Novel in the Name of Salome.” .
