Trainees had the opportunity to engage in three AI workshops covering several aspects of artificial intelligence in research, including ethics, prompting, AI-powered tools, and the research workflow. Across the sessions, students explored topics such as trust, transparency, bias, and accountability, while also gaining hands-on experience with tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Claude, SciSpace, Elicit, and NotebookLM. The workshops provided an engaging and valuable opportunity to both learn new skills and stay current with emerging technologies, while reinforcing best practices such as fact-checking and responsible AI use. Overall, the series offered meaningful insights into the growing role of AI in academic research and was well received by participants.
